Watercolor is derived from my first Louis Jane textile art print. This painterly watercolor pattern is inspired by the photography of the light coming through the intersections of leafy branches in full bloom on my favorite tree, a Japanese ornamental flowering “Higan” cherry tree. I was inspired initially by viewing Monet’s gardens in Giverny and his incredible paintings of the waterlilies in Paris at the Musée de l'Orangerie
